What is Connected Training™?
Connected Training™ is an offering from FlexIt that gives you the benefits of working with a trainer but allows you to train on your own time. You meet once per month with a trainer to set goals and prepare for your routine, which your trainer then builds for you and sends to you via the FlexIt app. Over the next four weeks you are given 16 workouts to do while also being encouraged to communicate with your trainer to allow for adjustments to the workouts.
How does it work?
When you sign up for Connected Training™ you will be contacted by a member of FlexIt’s Performance Coach team. Their information is to gather preliminary information to make sure that your first session with your trainer goes smoothly. In your session, your trainer will learn about you, your goals, and any issues you may have. After that they will build a workout plan for you. After a month you will meet them again to evaluate your progress, set new goals, and get you on a path for continued improvement.
How do I meet with my trainer?
All interactions with your trainer occur virtually through FlexIt’s app and website. This includes 1-on-1 goal setting meetings as well as communications during your four weeks of workouts.
When can I do my workouts?
You can do your workouts anytime! The beauty of Connected Training™ is you don’t need to wait for anyone else. You can train whenever you want.
What equipment do I need?
No equipment required! Your trainer will make use of any equipment you do have, but there is absolutely no need to have any!
What does a workout look like?
Every workout is designed to be completed within a day. The length is something for you to discuss with your trainer. The different workouts will focus on different body parts depending on your preferences (as discussed with your trainer).
How do I log into my Virtual Personal Training session?
Sign-in to your FlexIt account and click on your account page or, sign in through the FlexIt Fitness app available on iOS and Android. As long as you have WiFi, you’re good to go!
Once there, you will see a dashboard with all of your upcoming sessions. Before your session start time, you will see a green “Connect” button. Click the button to connect into the session with your trainer.
Tell me about the rescheduling policy.
Sure thing! You can reschedule your session with no charge up to 12 hours in advance. If you need to make a last minute change, you can request to reschedule with your trainer. To reschedule at the last minute, click on your session and select “Edit Booking” and then “Request a Reschedule”. Your trainer can then accept the request.
FYI: On the off chance that your trainer can’t accomodate the request, you can reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be glad to assist you!
What if I want to cancel a session altogether?
We know that sometimes life gets busy and working out doesn’t always make the cut of what stays in the schedule. If you need to cancel, click into the booking and hit the “Cancel” button. As long as it’s 12 hours or more before the session, you will not be charged.
How can I keep track of all my bookings?
Easy! There are a few ways to get your VPT sessions organized. The first way is to check the calendar in your Account page. All upcoming and past sessions will appear there for you to see at a glance.
The second way is to add the sessions to an external calendar, like iCal or Google calendar via the link in your account.
Will my trainer contact me before my session?
Absolutely! After you book your Virtual Personal Training session, you’ll get an email introducing you to your trainer. You can reply to the email letting your trainer know if you have any injuries, goals, or questions about the session.
